Krissie Rhiamon Pearse
Krissie Rhiamon Pearse currently lives near Bridgend, South Wales in the UK. She is a student of Swedish Body Massage and Anatomy & Physiology at Bridgend college, holds a level 1 reiki certificate, and is currently working on a novel with Bariane Louise Rowlands.
She came from a poor, strict, lower working-class family with old-fashioned values, raised in her early years by a single father: growing up in an era of economic recession in a community still reeling from the closure of the coal mining industry in the valley, she still managed to find beauty in both the wasteland and the sheep-grazed fields and forested hillsides around it. In the village there was gossip, strife, and the recent scars of the industrial past, but around it were incredible rolling hills, streams and woods where she often spent her time as a child, and both had their equal place in daily life. It was an environment that, though discouraging of independant thought and individual difference, gave her many positive and negative experiences to draw from in later life.
After leaving home, she slowly found that she had the opportunity to truly explore and realise herself, and so began a journey of self discovery and awareness, for the first time claiming that which she had not truly known in earlier life. In 1999 she joined the Royal Navy but found that it was not for her and it was too restrictive an experience for a person claiming back her newly found individuality, and so upon leaving, she moved to The Midlands of England where she discovered paganism and felt for the first time her spirituality described in a single word. She has since returned to South Wales and continues her journey there, hoping to some day move to the European mainland to set roots and open a complimentary therapy pratice, and continue along her path there, wherever it may lead.
